Class Details by Steve Llanso of Sweat House Media

Class 26 de Julio (Locobase 13206)

Data from Baldwin Locomotive Works Specification for Engines as digitized by the DeGolyer Library of Southern Methodist University Vol 31, p. 79. Works number was 32259 in November 1907.

Like other small Moguls in the DR, this locomotive was a Vauclain compound produced to a spec that required the crown sheet to be covered with water on a 9% grade. It also needed to clear the rack located between the 45-lb/yard (22.5-kg/metre) rails. Each 7" piston fed both the HP and LP cylinder on a side.

When the F Ma S was taken over by the Central Dominicano, this locomotive received road number 11.
