Class Details by Steve Llanso of Sweat House Media

Class Machala (Locobase 15036)

Data from Roy V Wright (Ed.) 1912 Locomotive Cyclopedia of American Practice, Sixth Edition (New York: Simmons-Boardman Publishing Company, 1912), p. 159. Works number was 46574 in June 1909.

This ferrocarril served mines near Duran in the Province of El Oro (so it is correct to use "de El Oro" rather than "Del Oro"). El Oro is the southernmost coastal province in Ecuador. This little tank's name honors the capital of the Province and of its own Canton.
