Class 1 (Locobase 15523)

Data from SACM diagram Nr. 31 from Societe Alsacienne de Constructions Mecaniques from locomotive book supplied by Dany Machi up at [link] as

Diagrammes des machines SACM construites a GRAFENSTADEN (October 2007). Works numbers were 514-515 in 1869 and 2514 in 1876.

Tube diameter is the interior measurement. The ABC line was born from an 1866 study that recommended the laying of a chemin de fer d'intTrOt local between Avricourt and Cirey that passed through BlGmont. The timing of the railway's opening was a bit unfortunate, coming as it did on 26 April 1870, just months before the Franco-Prussian War. Service was suspended between 10 August 1870. The end of the war in October led to cutting the line in two temporarily until further negotiations reestablished the new French-Prussian border.

These tanks were replaced by similar engines built by Henschel and Sohn in 1911.
