Class 41 (Locobase 11298)

Data from August Perdonnet et Camille Polonceau, Nouveau Portefeuille de L'Ingenieur des Chemins de Fer, Tome Second (Paris: Librairie Scientifique, Industrielle et Agricole, 1866), pp. 524. Works numbers were 40-50 in 1854.

See also Locobase 621, which has somewhat different data from an earlier Perdonnet work. These engines together with the classes shown in Locobases 11296-11297, all came from the same manufacturer and varied primariliy in th size of their boilers.

But the 41s were meant for local passenger service as they turned smaller drivers that suited slower trains making more stops.

Like the 136 class, most or all of this class were gone by 1884.
