le Dauphine / PLM 2-4-0 Locomotives in France

Class Details by Steve Llanso of Sweat House Media

Class 737 / 850 / 3 375 (Locobase 13424)

Data from the PLM Wiki vault crammed with data and plans at [link], last accessed 12 November 2011.

Six-wheelers for local mixed traffic all had the same specifications when they were delivered to different railways in 1854-1860. These lines would all come together under the PLM banner before too long.

Like the others, these 2 Le Dauphine locomotives would receive a dome in 1873, have a pressure upgrade in a boiler with longer tubes of a slightly lower count, and roll on slightly larger drivers. And like the others, they would operate into the 1920s. See the Grand Centrals as modified by the PLM at Locobase 13424 for the specifications of the later version of all of these 2-4-0s.
