Midi 4-4-2 Locomotives in France

Class Details by Steve Llanso of Sweat House Media

Class 1920 (Locobase 15169)

Data from Forums LR Presse, email from Patlantic, 26 June 2010, 14:35 posted at [link]. Works number for 1921 was 5633 in 1907.

Patlantic observes that these Midi Atlantics were very similar to the Nords of 1900 (Locobase 1490) but had larger Belpaire fireboxes and grates. Like most French express engines of the time, these used the Du Bousquet De Glehn form of four-cylinder compounding.
