Class K22.6 / BR 99 4603 (Locobase 9587)

Data from [link], last accessed 28 September 2008.

Built 16 years after the Vulkan tanks that ran on the Ruegener Kleinbahn (Locobase 9585-9586), this engine (Henschel works #11347) had a dense, stocky profile. In most other respects it owned similar specs to the Vulkans although the boiler was a bit bigger. Its first 20 years were spent on the DMKW. After coming to the Ru.K.B., the locomotive received a DRG designation, survived World War II, and operated into the 1960s. Its retiremtn came from the FShrhof - Altenkirchen run came on 11 January 1966.
