These small compound tanks served the Munich lokalbahn area for 60 years. They operated between Marktoberdorf and Fnssen for decades. Once the DRG took over the LAG operations, they were given Baureihe designations and moved to the Augsburger Localbahn. They were withdrawn in 1957.

Class Ptl 3/3 // BR 98.76 (Locobase 5947)

Data from Christian Lindecke's website [link] (visited 28 Nov 2003) (translated by Google), supplemented by Albert Gieseler at [link], last accessed 9 May 2011.

Little lokalbahn locomotives that went into service near Murnau. By 1904, the LAG (aka LAY) had been absorbed by the K.Bay.Sts.B and the pair reclassified PtL 3/3 (merely descriptive of arrangement and application).

Still in service two decades later, the locomotives were redesignated by the DRG as 98 7691-98 7692 and continued to run until 1927.
