Known as the Stillen Pauline, this arterial narrow-gauge railway ran over 31.5 km (19.6 sm) from the first-named town to the second in the Berlin area. A branch ran 20.1 km (12.5 sm) from Senske to Paulinenaue. All the twists and turns in the line that allowed the RSN to serve these cities led to the additional nickname of Krumme Pauline ("Crooked Pauline"). The line was very flat, in some cases crossing marshy ground on embankments.
Wikipedia's account describes a successful railroad that served local beet growers as well as many residents of the town on the route. Its decline began in World War One and continued slowly as the line was supported by subsidies. World War Two led to a resurgence as private cars were mostly unavailable. East Germany authorities maintained passenger service over a shorter distance until 1961.
Their first three locomotives were delivered with a Krauss-Helmholz bogie joining the rear adhesive axle with the trailing truck under the firebox.

These radial tanks followed the number 3 (see Locobase 6540) into service two years later. It had larger cylinders, slightly larger drivers that had the combined effect of raising the tractive effort. It was lighter because of the smaller water tank. It also used an outside frame and a trailing Bissell truck. Possibly because of a bouncy ride, the pair were known as Rÿchelanna or Springender Hirsch (leaping deer).
#5 was renumbered 99 4512 by the East German Deutsche Reichsbahn and operated until 1964.
