Class HERFORD (Locobase 630)

A group of 24 large, burly "Longboilers" built in Vienna. Had a vaulted firebox, large "dustbin-shaped" steam dome just behind the stack, short smokebox. First built with steel boiler plate, but rust and cracks forced a reversion to iron.
