Known as the Sachsenstolz (Pride of Saxony) these Von Borries compound engines were designed by Meyer and Lindner of Saxon State. Using a Krauss-Helmholz truck for greated flexibility, these imposing engines had small domes (sand ahead of steam) on a large boiler. Trial results included hitting 31 mph with 585 tons up a 1% grade and hauling 275 tons up a 2.5% grade at 25 mph.

Although later overshadowed by a Prussian State design, 10 survived World War II and ran in East Germany until the early 1960s.
