Data from Reder (1974).
Leader of four outside-frame Cramptons built by Maffei in 1853. Locobase suspects that the data shown in the current entry actually marks the 1925 replica built in Maffei's shops. The heating surface area is considerably bigger. For the original group of 18, see Locobase 8251.Works numbers 609-611, 621-624 in 1863; 658-663 in 1864.
Polnitz was one of fourteen engines built by Emil Kessler of Esslingen for the Bavarian Palatinate. It was similar in layout to Die Pfalz (built ten years earlier), but had a smaller boiler and steam pipes girdling its boiler like a horsecollar.
