Class A (Locobase 5753)

Data from Christian Lindecke's website [] (visited 28 November 2003) (translated by Google). These express engines were the first built for the Eastern line of the K.Bay.St.E. They were Cramptons with the drivers trailing the Belpaire firebox. Both carrying axles were suspended from the frame rather than riding in a bogie. Later engines of a 2-2-2 arrangement arrived in 1859.

Starting in 1869, the Regensburg shops reversed the wheel arrangement, creating B-class 2-4-0s and doubtless improving the adhesive weight.
