Locobase 555 describes Die Pfalz and notes that the four Crampton-style locomotives came from Maffei.
The Wikipedia entry for these S-class engines says that Kessler supplied fourteen and Maffei four and gives the dimensions shown in the current entry. Locobase suspects that the Die Pflaz data represents the 1925 replica. On the other hand, Wikipedia notes that Maffei locomotives differed in having a larger smokebox, a smooth boiler, and slide valves over the cylinders.
In any case, the S class hauled express trains for the Pfalzbahn and were rated at 120 km/h (75 mph).
