Twin locomotives were two locomotives bolted back-to-back and run by one crew. The data are for the two engines combined, which conveys just how small the locomotives were. They could be run separately, but carried the same number; the A engine had a taller cab than the B. Each appeared as a caricature of engine design -- tiny wheels, tall cylindrical dome, spark-arresting stack that looked like an ashtray in a hotel lobby ...
