Class Details by Steve Llanso of Sweat House Media

Class Toto (Locobase 11192)

Data from East Essex Locomotive Preservation Society website ([link], last accessed 3 April 2010). Works numbers were (at least) 1619-1620.

Toto and Nora are the only surviving members of this class of rather powerful 4-coupleds that ran in the Big Pit for decades. Blaenavon itself was nationalized in 1947 and became part of the National Cola Board network.

As of 2009, Nora sat idle in the Big Pit while Toto was undergoing major restoration at Mangapps Museum.
