Class Class H / Y2 (Locobase 5035)

Procured by the MS&L for dock switching at the small ports of Grimsby first, Immingham later. In 1893, according to Richard Marsden of [link] (consulted in March 2002) -- the source of this information -- the two engines were renumbered 62-63, then 62B & 63B in 1909. By this time the MS&L had been absorbed into the Great Central Railway.

1923's grouping brought the GCR into the London and North Eastern. These two saddle tankers were then dubbed the Y2 class and renumbered 6431 and 6430 respectively. By 1931, both had been retired.
