Class Details by Steve Llanso of Sweat House Media

Class Vaenol (Locobase 10485)

Data from "The Padarn Railway", The Locomotive Magazine, Volume XI [11] (16 January 1905), p. 13. Works numbers 638 and 671.

As noted in 10484, the Padarn Railway served an enormous quarry complex that was broken into terraces. These were served by the little four-coupled Mills-class engines (the other named Port Dinorwic [sic]) supplied by Hunslet, which pulled the loaded carts to the main line.
