Data from East Essex Locomotive Preservation Society website ([], last accessed 3 April 2010). Works number was 469.
This early Hunslet saddle-tank worked for a variety of contractor and industrial owners including Price, Wills & Reeves (who renamed the engine "Hastings") and the Park, Gate Iron & Steel Company's Sproxton Quarry until 1957.
After its formal retirement in 1963, it went to the Kent & East Sussex Railway museum line. By 2009, the Hastings had entered a period of restoration.
