Data and information from Richard Marsden's LNER site -- [] (visited 19 March 2005).
This radial tank hauled brick trains from brickyards in the Halstead-Chappel region. As a single-member class, the 5 didn't have a niche to fill when the LNER took over the CV&HR in 1923. It was withdrawn in January 1928.
