Data from "New 6-Cpld Tank Locomotive, Metropolitan Ry", The Locomotive Magazine, Vol VI (May 1901), p. 80
These were essentially E-class 0-4-4T tanks with an additional driving axle and smaller drivers to muscle the freight movements through a very busy and dense network. The quartet obviously suited the railway as they served the Metropolitan and its successor London Transport until 1957-1964.
