Class Details by Steve Llanso of Sweat House Media

Class Lady Margaret (Locobase 10627)

Data from "Liskeard & Looe Ry," The Locomotive Magazine, Vol XIII (15 October 1907), pp. 184.

This was the last of the LLR's purchases before it was merged into the Great Western in 1909. (The LLR had taken over the operation of the mineral line Looe & Caradon in 1895.) Lady Margaret was a passenger engine and ran between the two named towns. By 1907, the total rail mileage over which the LM ran was 23. The LM had a average-sized boiler for the work it was called to do, but its firebox had more heating surface than usual.
