Data from A[nthony]E[dward] Durrant, The Locomotives of Eastern Europe (Newton Abbott: David & Charles, 1966), p 52; and "Oesterreischen Lokomotiven fur Griechenland", Die Lokomotive, Volume 24, No 1 (January 1927) pp 1-6. Oesterreich-Ungarien Staatseisenbahn-Ges (STEG) built ten--works numbers 4611-4620 in 1925--while Skoda supplied 30 locomotives.
Durrant wrote that the La class "proved a great success" and formed the backbone of freight traffic on the principal main lines.
Data from A E Durrant, Locomotives of Eastern Europe (New York: Augustus M Kelley, Publishers, 1966), pp, and class info from [], edited by Nick Sharounis and John Zartaloodes. Works numbers were 73369-73376 in 1946.
These big freighters hauled main-line traffic on the Salonika-Athens line.
