Norte 2-4-2 Locomotives in Guatemala

Class Details by Steve Llanso of Sweat House Media

Class Prospero Morales (Locobase 13997)

Data from Baldwin Locomotive Works Specification for Engines as digitized by the DeGolyer Library of Southern Methodist University Vol 19, p. 119. Works number was 14048 in July 1894.

NB: Evaporative and direct heating surface areas represent an estimate based on the stated dimensions of the 1887 engine that operated in Florida (Locobase 11863). Comparison of the two entries shows that all firebox dimensions were identical as were tube counts, lengths, and outside diameters.
