Class 39 (Locobase 946)

Data from listing in 1947 Locomotive Cyclopedia. Works numbers were 68489 in 1930, 68601 in October 1932, 69611 in June 1941.

Standard Fruit bought several of these locomotives for its Honduran operations over a relatively long period. The first was delivered to La Ceiba in 1930. First numbered 39, it was renumbered 41. Engine #40 (Mike Carey) was delivered in 1933, and Robert Smith arrived in 1941.

The fourth and fifth, most likely built to the same design, were delivered in 1946 (works number 74891) and 1947 (75348) as road numbers 43. Montreal added 45 (works number 76332) in March 1949.
