LM noted that these Consolidations served the feeder line running between Morappur to Dharmapuri. The line opened on 1 January 1908. At the time of the LM article, it was being extended to Hosur on the Mysore State border; at that point the line was 73 miles (118 km). (Dharmapuri is about 120 km (74.5 miles) south of Bangalore,
