Class YD (Locobase 20911)

Data from No. 46, "Goods Engine and Tender for the Assam Bengal Railway", Vulcan Foundry Locomotive Catalogue found on Flicker's Historical Locomotive Images website at [link], last accessed 26 June 2021. (Many thanks to Jorge Cerezo Toledo for his 26 June 2021 email containing links to several sites including the Vulcan Catalogue referred to above.) Works numbers were 4399-4402 in 1929.

Vulcan built fourteen of this Indian Railways Standard (IRS) YD metre-gauge goods locomotive. Four went to the Assam Bengal (Locobase 20809), the other ten joined the NGSR.
