The RA report tells us that at that time these were the biggest locomotives to operate on the O&R. This railway had its own impressive dimensions including total route mileage of 1,222.55 miles (1968 km ) and a main line between Benares and Saharanpur via Lucknow that covered 518 1/2 miles (835 km).
