Data from 1946 Beyer, Peacock catalogue hosted on Martyn Bane's website at [link] (accessed 21 May 2006). Works numbers for Batch #01028 were 5951-5953. Production data from The Beyer, Peacock production list -- [link], last accessed 29 May 2006.

Located in the eastern plateau of the Deccan in central Indian, the NGSR developed coal traffic from its Singareni coal mine that by 1911 was a profitable enterprise. This trio of suburban locomotives supported the Hyderabadi commuter service. They were virtually identical to the Burmese engines (Locobase 7502) supplied three years earlier by the same builder.
