Staatsspoorwegen 2-6-2 Locomotives in Indonesia

Class Details by Steve Llanso of Sweat House Media

Class C30 (Locobase 4740)

Data from keretapi.tripod.com/tech_data.html and internationalsteam.co.uk/ambarawa/locos/C3065.htm, a site for the Ambarawa Railway Museum maintained by Rob Dickinson that shows 69.6 sq m for the heating surface, 26.3 sq m for the superheater. Locobase suspects that the differences represent different builders (Dickinson's example was a Werkspoor product.)

See Indra Krishnamurti at [link] for building dates and numbers both of predecessor railways and the Indonesian State Railways.

46 Prairie tanks arrived from several builders over a two-year period. Borsig (11), Hanomag (12), Hohenzollern (12), and Werkspoor (11).
