Class Steam motor (Locobase 10445)

Data from "New Steam Rail Motor Coach, Great Southern & Western Railway", The Railway Magazine, (July 1905), p.76.

This was the first steam rail motor to be built in Ireland and was put in service on the 5 1/2-mile (8.9 km) long Goold's Cross and Cashel branch line. Soon after it entered into service it was averaging 12 trips a day. Its coach portion had a capacity of 6 first-class and 48 third-class passengers and measured 50 ft long.
