Belfast & Northern Counties 0-6-0 Locomotives in Ireland

Class Details by Steve Llanso of Sweat House Media

Class 30 (Locobase 10718)

Data from "Broad Gauge Goods and Tank Engines, Northern Counties Committee", The Locomotive Magazine, Vol XV (15 June 1909), p. 121. Boiler pressure is an estimate.

The report describes a class of locomotives, but B-P's only locomotive of this type to go to the B & NC in 1880 was works 1920. In the same year and in the next two spots on the production line were 2-4-0s with works numbers 1921-1920. Locobase wouldn't be surprised if they shared the same boiler and firebox dimensions.
