Originally bought by the BC for passenger work, this little tank was later adapted to auto-train service on the Great Northern. It pulled trailer cars outfitted to offer 21 first-class seats and 38 3rd class or nine 1st-class and 56 3rd-class passengers. Possessed of good power for the light duty, this auto-train was booked to run between Dublin and Howth (8 1/4 miles) and make 4 intermediate stops in 22 minutes.
