Class Details by Steve Llanso of Sweat House Media

Class 1001 (Locobase 6282)

Data from users.libero.it/allesandro.tuzza/fonti/sfr/1879sfrindice.htm (8 July 2004), an 1878 album of locomotives for the SFR reproduced by Allesandro Tuzza. (later cite: [link], Tavola 52.)

Small tank engine, probably for switching use, from a very little known builder. Still, the concern had assigned 92 works numbers before this one. One of those went to India and is preserved in the National Rail Museum as one of the very first steam locomotives in that country.
