Class Details by Steve Llanso of Sweat House Media

Class 11 (Locobase 20072)

Data from datacard titled "Tipo 184, Zelatrice" from "Locomtive Borsig-Berlin" on the Duegieditrice forum website at [link], accessed 19 June 2016, last accessed 17 September 2024 . See also Wikipedia entry "Ferrovie e Tramvie Vicentine" at [link], last accessed 18 June 2016. Works numbers were 6887-6889 in 1908.

This trio of tram motors were rated at 80 horsepower (60 kW) when delivered to FTV in Vincenza. The data card illustration depicts a typical profile in which a small steam locomotive boiler, firebox, motion, and drivers disappeared within coach-type sheating. The steam dome rose out of the center of the boiler and nearly touched the roof. Paired round windows at each end suggest the motor could be controlled from either end.
