Class Carlo Alberto (Locobase 15143)

Data from cnum_8XAE739, Exposition universelle, Groupe VII. Classes 39 et 40: Industrie des Transports-Chemins de fer et Tramways. Exposition internationale des industries et du travail de Turin 1911 (Paris: Comite Francais des Expositions a l'Etranger, 1911), p. 18. (Thanks to Claus Gaertner for his 17 March 2021 email providing the proper transliteration of the builder's name.)

According to the Exposition report, the railway for which this design was intended needed an engine that could pull 90 tonnes up a 2.5% grade, around curves with radii of 300 metres (984 feet) at 25 km/h (15.5 mph).
