[] devotes itself to the preservation of light military rail equipment. One of their prizes is miniature decapod, originally built for the Japanese military railway by Orenstein & Koppel (works #11073). After World War II, the E 103 saw duty in several locales including an industrial park in Chiba, the Seibu Unesco Park railway in 1971, and ultimately a railway in Hokkaido.
In 2002, the feldbahn club bought the locomotive and had it shipped to Germany on the Hyundai Federal. (Thus, a Korean-built, owned, and operated ship brought an ex-Japanese Army locomotive to the Germany of its origins.)
