CG Gowey reported that as of 31 July 1898, the Hankaku had been authorized to buil 68.58 miles (110 km) and had completed 14.22 miles (22.9 km).

Locobase 2894 shows a pair of Prairie tanks that accompanied these three small eight-wheelers.
