Class AME 1 (Locobase 954)

Data from "Engines for the Corean [sic] Railways", Locomotive Magazine, Volume 25 (15 January 1919), pp.2-3. Works numbers were 50333-50338 in September 1911.

LM described this batch of American-type Eight-wheeler passenger locomotives approvingly as evidence of an American builder supplanting the pre-World War One preference for German designs after the war. Locobase notes that the deliveries occurred almost three years before World War One began.

The relatively drivers permitted a maximum speed of 95 kph (59 mph)/
