Data from Tony von Hornstein of Switzerland, 26 June 2011, who sent a scan of a "4-8-2 Tender Locomotive with Superheater" including data in both English and metric measurements.
The diagram is headed "Kisha Seizo Kaisha, Osaka" [or more formally Osaka Kisha Seizo Goshi-Kaisha]. This company was founded by Viscount Masara Inoue as the first privately held manufacturer of rolling stock in Japan. It first produced locomotives in 1896 and grew to be Japan's largest manufacturer of steam locomotives. It has been described as the Baldwin Locomotive Works of Japan.
Don Ross ([], last accessed 27 June 2011) reported the following 4-8-2 production for Korea, but does not mention the KSK at all:
MT-1
Number Builder Year
1-2 Keijo 1939
3-50 Kawasaki 1942-1945
MT-2
1-20 Kawasaki 1942-1945
21 more Skoda(?) 1947
The 50 MT-1 featured a distinctive housing over steam and sand domes that resembled a gambrel-roofed shed.
