Class Details by Steve Llanso of Sweat House Media

Class 4 / G-035 / G-04 (Locobase 11897)

Data from NdeM 1926ca Locomotive Diagrams supplied in December 2010 by Allen Stanley.

Obviously the original boiler on the VC a A's #4 (Locobase 11838) satisfactory for long. By the time it appeared in the 1926 roster book, it had acquired a new vessel that had fewer, larger-diameter tubes and a bigger firebox.

Class C-01/G-036/ G-02 (Locobase 11895)

Data from NdeM 1926ca Locomotive Diagrams supplied in December 2010 by Allen Stanley.

Locobase is still researching the origins of this locomotive, but he found a note on the diagram dated 16 March 1935 that described a change in the boiler's tube layout. At the time, the locomotive had 144 2" tubes each measuring 9 ft 10 3/4" (3.32 m) long.
