Data from Baldwin Locomotive Works Specification for Engines as digitized by the DeGolyer Library of Southern Methodist University Volume 20, p. 196 and 1926ca NdeM Locomotive Diagrams supplied in December 2010 by Allen Stanley. Works number was 15036 in August 1896.

Acquired road number 97 when the VC&RV was taken over by the Mexican National. It retained that number when the Mexicano was nationalized in 1908 and operated until its retirement in 1950.
