Class Details by Steve Llanso of Sweat House Media

Class 19/F-11/F-18 (Locobase 11926)

Data from NdeM 1950 Locomotive Diagrams supplied in December 2010 by Allen Stanley. To see the resources this railroad passed through and shipped to Tampico, see "American Capital in Neuvo Leon", Lead and Zinc News, Volume 3, No 3 (10 March 1902), pp. 6-7. Works numbers were 13260 in February 1893; 13263-13265, 13268, 13268, 13283, 13303-13305 in March.

The M&MG , incorporated in 1888, linked the port of Tampico in the Gulf of Mexico with Monterey to its northwest. By 1893, the railroad's northern point had moved northwest through Geronimo Trevino to Sierra Mojada. In March 1902, the M&MG was absorbed by the Mexican Central, which itself was nationalized in 1909. The F-11 series at first was numbered in the 263-271 range. 263, 266, 268, 270-271 were retired before the NdeM renumbered the class in 1930 and designated it F-18..

The four surviving class members were numbered 740-473 in 1930.
