Class Details by Steve Llanso of Sweat House Media

Class 100 (Locobase 3610)

Wiener 1930 for data, See also "2-6-6-0" in Mallets built for export by North American locomotive builders at [], last accessed 13 October 2022; and , Railway World, (15 December 1911), p 1069.Works numbers were 50846-50847 in 1912

Based on the single Mallet delivered to the Natal Government Railways (Locobase 2776), this pair went to the CFM in 1912. Its motion used 10" (254 mm) piston valves to serve the HP cylinders and Richardson balance slide valves for the LP cylinders.

Locobase hasn't determined how long the pair remained in service, but notes that decades later the two were reported to still be in existence, " but derelict".
