Data from 1946 Beyer, Peacock catalogue hosted on Martyn Bane's website at [] (accessed 21 May 2006). Works numbers were 5370-5375 (Batch #069) in 1910.
Beyer, Peacock and the Dutch State Railways supported each other for decades during which the builder appeared as the most significant foreign builder for the system. This batch began a series of Ten-wheeler deliveries over a four-year period that totalled 36 locomotives in four batches, all likely to have been to the same design. Fitted with a high-mounted Belpaire firebox topped by broad safety-valve stand, small dome over the first driven axle, and four valve-motions of which two were tucked away inside, this locomotive looked every bit of a passenger locomotive.
