Dunedin City and Suburban Tramways 0-4-0 Locomotives in New_Zealand

Class Details by Steve Llanso of Sweat House Media

Class Atlantic/Gordon (Locobase 13469)

Data from Baldwin Locomotive Works Specification for Engines as digitized by the DeGolyer Library of Southern Methodist University Volume 9, p. 58. Baldwin works number was 4522 in January 1879.

This steam dummy operated on Dunedin (New Zealand) streets for only about two years. See the long quote in the entry for the (USA) Broadway Railroad's steam dummies at Locobase 13468 for an account of the problems of running steam power on a street railway.

NB: Boiler pressure is an estimate.
