Data from John Garner's comprehensive site at [] ... (October 2002). Originally produced without any auxiliary axles, these locomotives came from Glasgow. Neilson produced works numbers were 1764-1773 in 1872. Dubs & Co delivered works numbers were 801-805 in 1873
When they arrived on the railway, however, the lack of a truck led to severe oscillations over 15 mph. The railway's shops added a Bissel trailing axle under the cab before 1880. Photographs also show a cabbage stack.
