Pueblos 4-6-0 Locomotives in Nicaragua

Class Details by Steve Llanso of Sweat House Media

Class Diriamba (Locobase 12232)

Data from Baldwin Locomotive Works Specification for Engines as digitized by the DeGolyer Library of Southern Methodist University Vol 20, 259. Works numbers were 15226-15227 in March 1897.

These Ten-wheelers bore the names Diriamba and La 96 (most likely known as "La Noventa Seis"). They later operated on the Pacifico (or the Pacifico took over the Pueblos) as 14-15 with La 96 being renamed Apoya.

Both served into the 1950s. Although the Diriamba was reported to be derelict in 1955, it was later considered for rebuilding.
