The first of two Mikado tanks came to the VB in 1910; the other arrived in 1913. Like the latter, 5-6 were absorbed into the NSB on 1 January 1937. At some point, the engines were superheated with identical areas to those of the later VB #7 (see Locobase 6195), but slightly smaller cylinders.
22 was the last to retire, leaving service on 10 Nov 1954.

This one Mikado tank was the last VB locomotive and was taken into the NSB when that line absorbed the VB on 1 Jan 1937. It was retired on 28 Feb 1958.
