Class Details by Steve Llanso of Sweat House Media

Class P (Locobase 11946)

Data from image 521b of FEPASA website ([link], last accessed 27 December 2010). Works numbers began with 19670.

North British delivered 5 Consolidations with saturated boilers and 10 with superheaters. All had Belpaire fireboxes and all had very similar dimensions otherwise.

Class Q (Locobase 11945)

Data from image 326b of FEPASA website ([link], last accessed 27 December 2010).

North British delivered 5 Consolidations with saturated boilers and 10 with superheaters. Unusually for British-designed engines, these 2-8-0s had a substantial amount of heating surface devoted to superheat.

All had Belpaire fireboxes and all had very similar dimensions otherwise. The first 5 arrived in 1914, the other 5 in 1921.
